'40 Cad Series 62 Conv. Coupe. This car is a combination of an older restoration (mid 1980's when it was an AACA Senior award winner) and a recent comprehensive mechanical restoration (in 2000 by FEN Enterprises) including engine and running gear rebuilding. Several alterations to make it a reliable driver: alternator and more modern carburetor, radial tires. Starter re-rebuilt in 2009. Original parts included with car. Fewer than 1000 miles since mechanical work was done. Body excellent, though top has a small discoloration on the left rear panel by the rear window. Interior is in average condition and would have to be redone to make this into a Senior AACA winner again. It is a great driver and a real head turner. Purchased in 2000 for $35,500 and with over $28,000 into its rehabilitation. Asking $56,000 OBRO. Reason for selling: too many cars to store and drive!
